You may have noticed some of the changes we’ve been making over at Ayoudo, and now that you’re logged in you’re probably wondering how to add your location, how to edit locations for help requests, or how to make sure your offer is visible to the right audience.
How to Change Your Location on Ayoudo
Whether you signed up with Facebook or email, make sure your location is correct by checking the upper right corner once logged in.
If your location is inaccurate or you’ve relocated, it’s easy to change – Simply click to set your new location.
Changing location is easy and is a great way to ensure your help requests and offers are shared directly to your community.
How to Edit the Location of Your Help Request
Updating your location is important as help requests will always default to your current location. While some tasks can only be done by helpers within your neighbourhood, others can be done by anyone anywhere. Don’t lose out on the expertise of all Ayoudoans by limiting visibility from qualified candidates on non-location specific jobs!
You can easily edit the location by going directly to the help request and clicking on the current location.
You may decide to narrow the location to a single city, widen the geographical area to a whole province/state, or set it to everywhere if the task can be completed remotely.
How to Change the Location of Your Offer
As a service provider you want to make sure your offer is seen by applicable communities. To target your local neighbourhood be sure to set the location to your current city when adding a new offer, or change it to ‘everywhere’ if it’s non-location specific.
Has your business expanded? Great! Edit your offer’s location by visiting the My Profile tab and scrolling down to the offers sections. Simply click edit for each offer you would like to revise and change the location to the whole province (i.e., British Columbia) or even country (i.e., Canada).
Keep in mind that you will always be able to change the location of a search, so be sure to browse the everywhere option to view all the tasks you may be qualified for and see all the offers available to you!
